EMPOWERING YOU, AND YOUR CARER IN YOUR PARKINSON’S JOURNEY

INTEGRATED PARKINSON’S HEALTHCARE CENTRE IN CANTERBURY, KENT

We are a pioneering treatment, research and education centre for people living with Parkinson’s disease

We understand that living with Parkinson’s disease can be difficult at times. That’s why we founded PCIT; a place to gain better control of your condition and to plan your journey.

Our goal is to deliver more than just treatment; we are here to add richness to your life with the support, advice, knowledge and encouragement needed to help you maintain your confidence and independence, and to break new frontiers.

Care built around you

How we deliver best-in-class care for our Parkinson’s members

Empowerment

Ongoing Assessments

Your membership provides you and your loved one or carer with four comprehensive assessments per year by our qualified experts.

We then send you a detailed report, and with your permission we will send this to your GP, neurologist and nurse.

Community

Group
Classes

Unlimited access to a wide-ranging of group classes for you and your partner to explore either together or individually.

We offer a wide range of classes, from dance, art, music, yoga and more.

Triage

Individualised Therapies

Once your assessment is complete, our qualified therapist will recommend a personalised care plan.

This is based around you and your specific needs, and is designed to ensure the best outcomes for your physical and mental health.

PCIT offers therapies such as physiotherapy, counselling, occupational therapy, and more.

Innovation

Research and Clinical Trials

Participate in cutting-edge research to develop more effective assessments and interventions for Parkinson’s disease.

Our Centre is a pioneer in non-invasive neuro-stimulation which has shown long-lasting improvements in both motor and non-motor features of Parkinson’s disease.

Mark Mardell – Writer and broadcaster

I feel both proud and privileged to be the Patron of this centre. It is a brilliant idea, and like many a brilliant idea it seems simple and obvious –but only in retrospect, once someone has had the thought and pushed it with determination. All kudos to Prof David Wilkinson.
